The GNU: National University Student Literary Journal

THE GNU!

At National University we have a student-run literary journal:

The GNU Online  www.gnujournal.com

gnu winter 2018

The GNU online is a literary journal that takes submissions from writers world-wide. Current students and alumni of National University may also submit.

“All Genres are Created Equal” is the motto of the GNU, a new annual online literary journal run by the MFA program at National University. In addition to the standard “literary” fare (poetry, literary fiction, creative nonfiction), the GNU gladly accepts genre writing of all kinds: science fiction, mystery, noir, short plays, children’s literature, YA literature, graphic novel selections, comics, or any writing that defies categorization.

Please visit www.gnujournal.com for submission guidelines. We have no reading fee.

We welcome and encourage all students to submit their poems, short stories, screenplays, book reviews, essays, or works of literary non-fiction to our editorial committee for consideration in upcoming issues of the GNU. All works are evaluated using an anonymous submission process whereby no member of the editorial committee is aware of the author’s work until the final selections have been made.

The GNU is student run and edited. If you are interested in volunteering for the GNU, please email the Academic Program Director, Frank Montesonti. fmontesonti@nu.edu
